Studying full-time or part-time

The bachelor's degree in business information technology at OST can be completed in six semesters (three years) full-time or in eight semesters (four years) part-time. Classes for full-time study programs are typically held during the day, Monday through Friday. Study hours range from 7:40 a.m. to 6:35 p.m., depending on the schedule. Special dates and variations are possible.

Classes for extra-occupational or part-time study are on two afternoons and evenings until 9:30 p.m. at the latest and alternating Thursday afternoons/evenings or Saturday mornings. Special dates and variations are possible. Class hours in the part-time study program allow students to work at least 50 percent of the time.

The extra-occupational study program requires students to pursue a professional activity close to their discipline (in the commercial or (business) IT field).

With the purely part-time model, students are free to decide whether they work (and in what field) alongside their studies.
