With the completion of the Bachelor's degree in Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland OST, you have laid the foundation for a successful career in numerous attractive professional fields. After all, computer science plays a central role in all areas of the economy - whether it's handling operational processes or controlling technical systems. Due to the advancing digitalization of solutions and processes, computer science and thus your computer science studies are also becoming more and more important.

You are almost spoilt for choice when it comes to employers during your career planning: from software manufacturers to service and industrial companies, consulting firms, network companies, public administrations or service providers in telecommunications - the range is huge.

The possible positions within a company are just as wide-ranging. You can work on a wide range of software development projects, be responsible for setting up and operating complex cloud infrastructures in the big data sector, or make your mark as a security expert. As your professional experience grows, you will take on management tasks as a software architect, team or project manager. You prefer to be your own boss? Then become self-employed with a start-up.
