Outgoings School of Management

Globalisation is one of the most powerful economic forces which shape our lives, and graduates with international experience are increasingly sought-after. Studying abroad will help you develop an international outlook and gain the kinds of skills you will need in the workplace of tomorrow.

Studying abroad is a unique opportunity to get totally immersed in a foreign culture. Through this enriching experience you will learn to see the world – and yourself – from a different angle. Moreover, you will have the chance to meet other students from all over the world and make friends for life!

The School of Management has an international network of partner universities. In the International Management track, the exchange semester is an integral part of the study programme.

More information is available on our moodle platform (also for students from the following majors/fields of study: General Management, Business Information Technology and Industrial Engineering).

As a member of the Swiss European Mobility Program (SEMP), Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences (OST) encourages its faculty and staff members to take part in short-term teaching or job shadowing assignments.

  • Teaching (STA mobility): Lecturers are required to teach a minimum of eight lessons per week. Teaching assignments usually take place at a partner university.

  • Staff training (STT mobility): Staff training, for example job shadowing, can be done at any university or also at companies. It is open to faculty as well as staff.

  • Combined mobility (STAC): This is a combination of staff training and teaching. The teaching requirement is only four lessons.
