Cooperation with the Institute of Energy Technology (IET)

The IET realizes industrial and research projects in general power engineering on behalf of customers. Thanks to close cooperation with other university institutes and a broad network of industrial partners, the institute has access to infrastructure and know-how from a wide range of technical fields.

Service contract

The service order is the best way to access our competences quickly and without complications. In this kind of cooperation we are extremely flexible and you can expect results in a short time. We will be happy to provide you with an offer for our engineering services.

Innosuisse Projects

Innosuisse promotes cooperation between universities and companies in Switzerland. The project partners define their projects themselves and can use the expertise and infrastructure of the OST for their research purposes. As a recognized research center, the IET can apply for corresponding funding. If possible, funding from other organizations in our network can also be applied for.

We will be happy to clarify with you whether there is a possibility of funding by Innosuisse and support you in writing the application.

Study, bachelor and master theses

The IET has been supporting bachelor and master theses for many years. In the context of student research projects, we deal with current problems from the various areas of our specialist groups.

In a cooperation with the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule (University of Applied Sciences of Eastern Switzerland), special questions for a company from industry and energy supply as well as for operators of infrastructure facilities can be investigated in these projects. Together we define the task and the students then work on the problem. The results are treated confidentially. The fees for these student projects are low and the added value for the companies is usually very high.

The project work lasts one semester. In the case of extensive projects and interdisciplinary problems, several students from the various departments work together in an interdisciplinary manner.

If you are an industry partner or a student and would like to work on a topic with us, we look forward to hearing from you.
