Detection of pathological tissue with FLIM

To treat patients in the best way possible, it is essential to detect pathological tissue. Researchers at OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule - are developing in collaboration with Prospective Instruments a multimodal microscope. The uniqueness of this device lies in the combination of sophisticated technology, shortened processing time and a compact easy-to-transport design.

In the microscope image above made with "Fluorecence Lifetime Imaging Method FLIM" you can see skin tissue. In the future the combination of high quality images with artificial intelligence will revolutionize the detection of pathological tissue.
