Coordinate metrology seminar CMTrain Level 1

In this basic course, you will learn the fundamentals of coordinate measuring technology.

The course includes the following topics (course no. IMP245107)

• Interpretation of a design drawing
• Inspection planning
• Machine selection
• Preparation of the workpiece
• Preparation of the measuring device
• Carrying out the measurement
• Evaluation strategy
• Measurement uncertainty
• Documentation
• Infrastructure and environment

The course begins with a one-day introductory workshop at the OST in Buchs SG. Here you will get to know the other course participants and your learning group. We will introduce you to the learning environment and prepare you for the subsequent eLearning phase. During this eLearning phase, you will learn when and where you want via the internet (smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer required). During this time, you will be supervised by OST tutors. You will also take part in a one-day intermediate workshop. In the two-day final workshop, the knowledge acquired will be deepened and expanded. The final workshop takes place in small groups of four to six course participants. After passing the final written examination, you will receive the «CMTrain Training Level 1» certificate.
