Welcome to Buchs campus
Study in the heart of the Rhine Valley. Nestled in a magnificent landscape with mountains as far as the eye can see. To the left and right of the Rhine, ideas flow and world-renowned companies develop innovative products. The St.Gallen Rhine Valley. A valley of opportunity and a place to study, live and work. Find here all information about the Buchs campus.
The Buchs campus has evolved from the NTB Interstate University of Applied Sciences Buchs. On September 1, 2020, the universities of applied sciences FHG St. Gallen, HSR Rapperswil and NTB Buchs merged to form OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule.
Much has changed since then. But something has remained: dedicated lecturers still teach in Buchs in an almost family atmosphere. Thanks to the open door policy, they always have an open ear for the concerns of their students.
Partner of the industry
Numerous industrial partners have been using the know-how of sought-after experts and the infrastructure of the OST Department of Technology in Buchs for many years. The Buchs campus has the only certified heat pump test center in Switzerland (Wärmepumpen-Testzentrum der Schweiz) as well as laboratories for production measurement technology (Wärmepumpen-Testzentrum der Schweiz) and clean rooms (Wärmepumpen-Testzentrum der Schweiz).
OST's highly diverse product portfolio creates an ideal basis for the development of interdisciplinary projects. Students find a strongly practice-oriented environment for their education at OST.
