Prof. Thomas Metzger, lic.oec. HSG / dipl. Hdl.

Thomas Metzger is Professor for Systemic Management and Businessadministration and Dean of the School of Management and Head of the St.Gallen campus of OST – Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences. He originally completed his studies in Business Education with a focus on Leadership and Human Resource Management at the University of St.Gallen (HSG) and holds additional qualifications in Higher Education Management. At the OST School of Management, he currently teaches Employee-Oriented Corporate Management, Systems Thinking, and Systemic Management.
Before assuming his current role as Head of Department, Thomas Metzger led the Business Education unit at OST and was responsible for the Bachelor’s program in Business Administration. He has been a member of the Department’s management team since 2005.
Prior to joining the Eastern Switzerland University of Applied Sciences, he spent several years in executive search and management consulting, specializing in leadership and personnel development.
In addition, Thomas Metzger holds a teaching certificate for primary and lower secondary schools and has several years of teaching experience at nearly all levels of the Swiss education system.
