The program offers the opportunity to select a specialization after completing the foundational coursework. Through a broad foundational curriculum and interaction with expert faculty, you’ll gain a solid understanding of the diverse fields within landscape architecture.
Planning and Design of Urban Open Spaces

You will focus on planning and designing urban open spaces, ranging from gardens and parks to streetscapes and historic sites. This work includes developing concepts at various scales, from neighborhoods to entire regions, as well as designing outdoor spaces in residential areas and unique locations such as cemeteries and zoos.
Landscape Construction and Management

This specialization trains you in landscape construction and management, enabling you to effectively organize and implement landscape architecture projects. As an expert, you’ll act as a link between planning and execution, managing projects, designing gardens, planning plantings, and providing comprehensive client consultations.
Landscape Development and Design

As a landscape architect, you’ll focus on the holistic planning and maintenance of natural and cultural landscapes, with a strong emphasis on ecological considerations. Your tasks will range from developing landscape and open space concepts to supporting renaturation projects and promoting nature-based tourism.
