The Interdisciplinary Focus Area Healthy Living and Aging (IdS HELA) hosted a networking event in St. Gallen on the 13th of May 2025. The event brought together researchers from OST with external experts and their expertise.
A Highlight in the HELA-Process
In the second part of the morning, the teams worked intensively on their project ideas. They made new contacts and further developed their concepts for the second phase of the HELA Call 2025. The open atmosphere and shared commitment made the three-hour event a real highlight in the HELA process.
Interdisciplinary Innovations for Healthy Living and Aging
Nine projects demonstrate great thematic diversity and work in an interdisciplinary manner. They address key social challenges using a variety of methods – for example, through co-creation, technical innovations, digital assistance systems, or pilot studies.
The project teams combine expertise from various departments and disciplines at OST. This clearly demonstrates the integrative and transdisciplinary nature of the HELA focus area. The project ideas contribute to solving pressing social issues related to healthy living and aging.
The IdS HELA would like to thank all participants for their interest and active involvement and looks forward to receiving the mini-proposals for the projects.
