The DSD25 is an annual conference, which this year took place in Salerno, Italy. The conference focuses on the development of digital systems from concept to implementation in hardware and software. It highlights current and future challenges in embedded, high-performance, and cyber-physical applications, which are implemented using modern technologies such as ASICs, FPGAs, and MPSoCs.
The IMES employee Lukas Leuenberger presented the novel architecture of a clock glitch generator at this conference. This generator can be used to conduct so-called side-channel attacks on cryptographic implementations. He also demonstrated potential attack scenarios and possible countermeasures.
