The Mobiliar Digital Barometer measures the Swiss population's attitude toward digitalization on an annual basis. In 2024, the focus was on digital inclusion and artificial intelligence. At the release event, Frieder Loch took part in a panel discussion on the possibilities of using artificial intelligence to contribute to digital inclusion.
Prof. Frieder Loch sees great potential in making AI-based applications accessible to a wider population. He is involved in the development of an application that helps people plan a balanced diet within a budget by accessing current supermarket offers. AI-supported chatbots can also make it easier to deal with authorities and thus promote social integration. Frieder Loch emphasizes the importance of universal design and low-threshold education to ensure that people with low education opportunities and low income can also benefit from AI.
