Age Innovation Prize 2026–2028: Strategic Partnership with the Age Stiftung
From 2026 to 2028, the Age Innovation Prize (AIP) will continue through a strategic partnership between the Institute for Ageing Research IAF at OST and the Age Stiftung. The AIP supports both technological and social innovations that improve the lives of older people in Switzerland.
Launched in 2023 by the Institute for Ageing Research IAF at OST, the Age Innovation Prize (AIP) has become a national platform to promote innovation in ageing. Between 2026 and 2028, it will be further developed through a strategic partnership with the Age‑Stiftung.
The AIP is expanded into two innovation pillars – technological innovations and social innovations – reflecting the need for practical solutions that strengthen independence, participation and quality of life in later life. The Age‑Stiftung serves as a strategic partner and jury member. The interdisciplinary jury combines expertise from industry, innovation, social and public sector. Each year, one technological and one social innovation project will be awarded. The winning teams receive visibility and tailored expert support from partner organisations.
This partnership aims to establish the AIP as a long-term national innovation platform that addresses the challenges and opportunities of demographic change.
