EnergyGame4all – Mastering the Energy Transition Playfully
EnergyGame is a web-based Serious Game that teaches the relationships between energy consumption, climate protection, and economic efficiency in an engaging and interactive way. Players take responsibility for a virtual home and make decisions about heating, domestic hot water, electrical appliances, photovoltaic systems, mobility, and investments into the building.
The objective is to reduce energy consumption and CO₂ emissions without compromising comfort. Making smart decisions saves money that would otherwise be spent on electricity and other energy sources. Players can continuously compare their scores with those of others, creating a motivating and competitive learning experience that encourages ongoing improvement.
The game was developed by the SPF, Energietal Toggenburg, suissetec and oligraphics. It is designed for schools, vocational education and training, and anyone interested in experiencing the challenges of the energy transition in a practical, hands-on way.
