Katerina Rigana is a researcher based at the campus in St. Gallen. She holds a PhD in Finance from the Swiss Finance Institute and has a background in causal machine learning, with experience in both academic research and the development of algorithms for digital health and finance. She previously worked in venture capital and as a CFO. Her work includes contributions to patenting AI algorithms and building compliant, scalable digital platforms. In addition to her academic research, she is active in the startup ecosystem, where she supports the development of data-driven, personalised prevention solutions and mentors young startups emerging from the university environment.
