Cybersecurity

Welcome to the Cybersecurity Competence Center of the INS.

The Cybersecurity Competence Center at INS offers a first-class environment for teaching, research, and professional training in the field of IT security. With two specially equipped security labs, we provide optimal conditions for innovative research projects.

A particular highlight is the Hacking Lab module by Ivan Bütler, which is hosted at our center. This software offers students an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in identifying and analyzing security vulnerabilities in computer systems, allowing them to deepen their cybersecurity skills in a targeted way.

Our infrastructure

The Cybersecurity Competence Center INS provides a modern and high-performance infrastructure for teaching, research, and professional training in the areas of networking and cloud technologies. Our two security labs (rooms 1.212 and 1.254) are also available. They are completely isolated from the school network, fully “Hacking Lab ready,” and equipped with a total of 30 workstations.

To support the automated creation and deployment of complex network environments, we use the Lab Topology Builder – a platform that allows for the efficient and flexible provisioning of diverse virtual network topologies.
