Integration and Work

The focus area «Integration and Work» of the Institute of Social Work and Social Spaces at the OST - Ostschweizer Fachhochschule deals with coexistence in society in light of the growing diversity of different backgrounds and experiences. With our services, we help you to develop solutions that promote social integration and improve the development and participation opportunities of less privileged groups and individuals.

Modern societies are increasingly facing the question of how – in view of the growing diversity of social, cultural and professional backgrounds and experiences on the part of individuals – successful coexistence can be ensured and social cohesion guaranteed.

The focus area «Integration and Work» at the IFSAR offers research, evaluation, development and consulting services that support social actors from the areas of politics, business and public administration as well as organisations in the field of social work, NGOs and other institutions in the (further) development of services and measures that promote social integration and improve the development and participation opportunities of less privileged groups and individuals. Key topics include unemployment, people with disabilities, migration, and (juvenile) sentences and measures.
