In the Materials & Optics area, the focus is on the characterization and testing of materials and their influence on components and systems.

For this purpose, an extensive infrastructure (such as FTIR, BSDF, environmental simulation, thermography, etc.) is available at the institute, which is used both in projects and on behalf of customers.
