Evidence syntheses provide a foundation for advancing the current state of knowledge in research and for ensuring evidence-based care in practice. Over the past three decades, various designs for evidence syntheses have been developed and established. They differ with regard to objectives, methodology, and procedures for literature search, evaluation, analysis and synthesis.
A key focus of our work is planning, implementing and reporting evidence syntheses.
We utilise various forms of evidence synthesis, including, for example, systematic reviews (of quantitative and/or qualitative data), Cochrane reviews, JBI reviews, complex interventions reviews, scoping reviews, evidence maps, meta-ethnographic reviews, mixed-methods reviews, methodology reviews, and bibliometric reviews.
We generally adopt a structured and collaborative approach. Thereby, we ensure two key aspects of methodologically sound evidence syntheses.
