Thermal Camera – FLIR T650sc 

The institute possesses a thermal camera with a resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. This very useful tool is not only used in the development of power electronics systems, but even more so during the development and placing into operation of thermal systems.

The Power Electronics Laboratory is equipped with a great variety of oscilloscopes made by Teledyne/LeCroy for power electronics development. Furthermore, a number of current and voltage probes, e.g. high bandwidth differential probes or high voltage probes, are available.

Programmable Power Supplies for Higher Power Levels

  • Regatron TC.ACS.30.528.4WR.S.LC (2x)
    Just recently we invested into two bidirectional AC sources 528 V / 43 A / 30 kVA from Regatron (TC.ACS). With those two grid simulators a three phase system can be simulated, including disturbances, flicker, voltage dips, asymmetries, under- and over-voltage and harmonics. Both grid simulators are supplied through separate isolating transformers, allowing the simulation of an independent and galvanically isolated grid.
  • Regatron GSS.32.500.80 (4x)
    With our four bidirectional DC sources 500 V / 60 A / 32 kW simulation of batteries, testing of battery and storage systems and operation as a simple source and load can be performed. In total 128 kW of power are available, which can be individually distributed over four devices for different application cases.
  • Itech IT6018B-800-75
    The Itech device is a bidirectional source with 800 V / 75 A / 18 kW in a compact form factor as an extension to the Regatron DC system.
  • Delta Elektronika SM 70-CP-450
    For high power levels at low voltages we use our SM 70-CP-450 with 70 V / 450 A / 15 kW.
