X-ray fluorescence spectrometry in air (XRF)

This method offers very fast and non-destructive detection of chemical elements between Z = 17 (chlorine) and Z = 92 (uranium) in solid samples or plating baths.

The sample spot is positioned with the aid of a video camera. The spot diameter can be adjusted between 0.2 and 2 mm. In terms of sample size, a 5-franc coin is ideal; the sample should not be thicker than 4 cm and larger than about 20 cm in diameter with our system.
