Studying Architecture, Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture and Spatial Planning
As an architect or civil engineer, a landscape architect or a spatial planner, you will design buildings, spaces and landscapes intended to stand the test of time and to be used by future generations. You will thereby make an important contribution to the sustainable development of the environment in which we live. This applies to all aspects of our environment, including individual buildings and entire neighborhoods, public gardens and parks, urban planning, non-motorized transport, as well as new tram and bus lines. All study programs are characterized by close links to practice.
The Bachelor of Architecture at OST's ArchitekturWerkstatt gives you a comprehensive and holistic understanding of construction and design. You will study at a small, exclusive architecture school where importance is attached to personal interaction between faculty and students. One of the special features of the St.Gallen model is a closely followed workshop philosophy.
Civil engineers are sought-after specialists who are in high demand on the labor market. Your work shapes our living spaces - from single-family homes to skyscrapers, from hydroelectric power plants to revitalized rivers.
As a graduate in landscape architecture, you will plan and design our environment. You will design parks, develop open space concepts and assist in infrastructure projects, thus ensuring that our landscape develops sustainably.
OST offers the only bachelor's program in urban, transport and spatial planning in Switzerland. Spatial planners coordinate the spatial requirements of the environment, the economy and society, thus shaping the settlement of the future.
The master's program in spatial development and landscape architecture deals with the increasingly complex economic, social and ecological demands on our living space. You will gain new insights through intensive exchange with other disciplines.
