Bachelor's degree in Spatial Planning

As a spatial planner, you will be designing the settlements in our country. You will be designing the future neighborhoods, promoting sustainable mobility and engaging with the community and various stakeholders. The project-oriented bachelor's degree program in urban, transport and spatial planning at OST not only demands creativity and teamwork but also fosters collaboration with municipalities, planning firms and real estate companies.

Bachelor of science in spatial planning with the specializations in urban planning, transport planning or spatial development

Time models

6 semesters full-time or up to 14 semesters part-time depending on your individual schedule. The program starts in September in week 38.

What is it like to study spacial planning here?

We will prepare you with a strong foundation of interdisciplinary skills for the role of a spatial planner.

In the first two years of study, you will acquire the fundamental knowledge of spatial development, transport planning and urban planning.

As a generalist, you will also acquire skills in environmental and landscape planning. In addition to lectures, you will taken on projects and acquire technical skills such as CAD, GIS and 3D visualization.
In the third year of study, you can choose one of the three specializations, applying your acquired knowledge to projects hands-on.

Choose your time model

Full-time

If you study full-time, you will typically complete your university degree within 6 semesters (30 ECTS/semester).

Individual part-time model

The bachelor's program in urban, transport and spatial planning gives you the option to tailor the study model to your individual requirements. The program content is equivalent to the full-time model, but the duration of study is extended accordingly. The director of the degree program and the Student Administration will be happy to advise you.
