Microcalorimeter

Within an Innosuisse project, we developed a measurement platform with an ultra-stable temperature chamber combined with high-precision temperature and heat-flux sensing.

Originally designed to detect heat signals from battery chemistry samples under operation, the system is:

  • High-precision: +/- 0.1 µW heat-flux measurement precision (top in class)
  • 2’000CHF per channel vs. 10’000CHF from competition
  • Extremely stable: +/- 10 mK temperature stability
  • 2 options: 16 channels or 64 channels

Current test cases:

  • Battery chemistry research

Adaptable to future markets:

  • Medical blood or urine test
  • Chemical research
