In order to investigate complex motion processes, the University of São Paulo has designed and manufactured a hand, which is very similar to the human one. In this project, a cost-effective actuation block for this hand was developed and implemented, which can move each individual bone. In addition, the whole hand was mounted on the ABB robot IRB2400, in order to simulate also the arm movements.
