As an educational, research and service organization, our university serves as a role model for society. Our goal is to share our knowledge about sustainability, and thus help transfer knowledge from research and teaching into society and the economy.
We are engaged in active exchange with our external contacts and the general public via a variety of events, and thus help to shape social dialog.
Our lecturers and employees across our numerous departments undertake research into environmental, economic and social sustainability in order to develop useful new solutions. Our students also provide momentum and get involved in numerous projects and working groups on a regional and national level, in order to raise awareness of sustainability.
During the annual Sustainability Week Switzerland event, our students work with lecturers to offer numerous activities designed to showcase and improve sustainability.
