The WTT YOUNG LEADER AWARD – the OST’s very own “Oscars”

Each year at the WTT YOUNG LEADER AWARD, the best real-life student consulting project teams are presented to an audience of around 650 people at Tonhalle St.Gallen and recognised for their achievements. Thus, the WTT YOUNG LEADER AWARD also serves to showcase the FHS St.Gallen’s unique real-life student consulting project philosophy.

Twenty-four businesses and institutions sponsor WTT YOUNG LEADER AWARD, while top managers from within these circles support the event as members of the Advisory Board and judges. In doing so, they attest to the importance and value of the practice-oriented training that the OST offers with its real-life student consulting project model

The six real-life student consulting project teams that are nominated share a prize fund of CHF 22,000.

Objectives

  • Outstanding performance
We motivate the FHS students to perform at the highest level in their real-life student consulting project work.
  • Recognising, honouring and celebrating
We like to thank all FHS students for their persistently outstanding commitment on the real-life student consulting projects, and recognise and honour the very best teams. We celebrate with all of the students, coaches and clients from the real-life student consulting projects in the company of representatives from the worlds of business, politics and science.
  • Demonstrating the level of performance
We present the nominated projects and discuss them with the participating students, project coaches and clients, which showcases the high level of performance of our FHS students on the real-life student consulting projects.
  • Inspiration
Each year, we take an inspiring, topical theme, which is covered in more detail in the ceremonial speech as well as in talks with top managers during the awards ceremony.
  • Networking
We bring together students as well as representatives from the worlds of business, politics and science.

Audience Award

The Audience Award has been presented since 2020. The nominated teams shoot short, creative videos to present their projects. These will be presented in advance and the registered guests in the hall and the online community will vote for their favourites. The team that receives the most votes from the audience will receive the surprise prize as the audience winner at the end of the celebration.
