Prof. Dr. Edith Maier, MSc., is a senior researcher and lecturer at the Institute for Information and Process Management, where she is in charge of cross-disciplinary project management. Before she joined academia, she worked as a consultant for telecom companies, regional and national authorities as well as non-profit institutions. She has a background in applied linguistics, social anthropology and information science, which makes her especially qualified for investigations at the interface between humans and technology. More recently, her research focus has been on mobile health applications and systems with a particular interest in human-computer interaction in real-life settings. She has been involved in many EU projects both as a coordinator and participant.
