HERA

The HERA project developed a reference architecture for process-oriented cross-organisational e-government.

The HERA project developed a reference architecture for process-oriented cross-organisational e-government. The underlying model-driven approach is based on an application model that describes e-government applications in a declarative way. The corresponding application software is generated by mapping the model elements to corresponding artefacts, such as rules and database entries, in an existing application framework. Due to the model-driven approach HERA reduces the effort for building and maintaining e-government applications considerably. The feasibility of the approach was demonstrated by a prototype for supporting the process for the declaration of company taxes on profits.
