Dr. Christa Uehlinger, who holds a doctorate in law from the University of Zurich, is a recognized intercultural expert with longstanding international/intercultural experiences. Working over ten years in international business as a manager and also as a consultant made her realize that culture is oftentimes seen as a threat and not as potential. Her curiosity to discover more about other cultures and the people influenced by different cultural backgrounds made her study intercultural communication at the ICI in Porttland/US and has taken her to many parts of Europe, Canada, the US, India, Australia, Africa and Asia.
At OST, she is a lecturer on intercultural communication and competence. Her work consists of several published articles and chapters on intercultural communication and competence. She is the author of “Miteinander verschieden sein, interkulturelle Kompetenz als Schlüssel zur global vernetzten Welt (Versus Verlag, Zurich) and the Co-author of the game “Puzzling Intercultual Stories”.
